HHF Main Characters
This is a really passive project I'm building up for fun. I don't have a lot of plans for it, its mostly recreational for practicing character design and such. The idea is that it's a fantasy world where instead of elves/fey being ancient and old, they're actually: very new. Somehow this world existed without a fey realm for millenia and suddenly one just crashes into it, awaking old gods and causing just a right mess.
Ruby Rogues
These three are my first and main group, Ruby(she/her) & her rogues(both he/him). Ruby's something like a dancer/bard who's just interested in everything, dummy touching everything she shouldn't hours. Jace is more of a classic rogue & one of the first half-elves, he's very rare. Then earlier drafts their third membr, Hawk, had him as something teifling-adjacent but he's been redesigned to an orc-type recently. The three of them are pretty normal as far as my groups go, aside from elf dynamic being a huge oddity for most people they come across.
Ida
Ida(she/her) however is starting to broach the broader implications of the realms starting to collide. Ida's something approaching a warlock who has made contact with what I've tentatively been calling the 'love god' pantheon, a suite of deities responsible for the integration of other realms into their own. I was spitballing the idea that the initial sort of like-- progenitor species for their realm was actually the orcs & the humans were integrated into this realm through a similar process but I am currently undecided on that front. Fleche is Ida's hired help & Ida might even have a few mercs she interacts with, we'll see! But the nature of Ida's contract with the love god Eros is that she does, cough, intimate recon for Eros while Eros provides Ida with HRT.
The Alchemist
The Alchemist(they/it) is currently unnamed but the main point of their role here is for fleshing out the love god pantheon. So far Alchemist is the only character of this era to have made contact with the head of that pantheon and as such is becoming the only real teifling-adjacent design. I wanted to lean into the idea of it being more curse-like and extremely rare for this reason. While the Alchemist's contract is more intense due to being made with the queen of the pantheon, it's similar to Ida's. The Alchemist provides the pantheon with research and they provide them a decent amount of protection, body modification,n& of course, pleasure, whether it admits it wants it or not.

Various Other Rivals, Designs, & Antagonists
Main thing I'm doing here is fleshing out different species and possibly cultures or side stories. There's a few misc groups here like the goblinoid sisters Pollux & Castor (both she/her), & a more typical adventuring party to possibly foil the Ruby Rogues. Alchemist used to be in this section but also they ended up being a little more relevant to the broader plot, which means that might happen to some other characters here, I dunno yet. I was also weighing the idea of worming Scyllas into this world since they're my go-to alien species & they even fill a pretty good mind-flayer role, but I'm undecided!
